Welcome to my website!

I am a researcher at the World Inequality Lab and co-editor of the World Inequality Report 2026 with Lucas Chancel, Rowaida Moshrif, and Thomas Piketty.

I am also a PhD student at the Paris School of Economics. My research focuses on development economics. Currently, I am focused on understanding how early human capital investment affects long-term life outcomes and whether inequality can be reduced through it.

I have a Master's degree in Applied Economics, specializing in Public Policy and Development from the Paris School of Economics, as well as a Master's degree in Applied Economics from ITAM in Mexico.

In 2024, I was honored to receive the prestigious Joaquín Xirau Icaza Economics Award from Colegio de México for my research on the medium-term impact of early education on academic performance (see awarded working paper). Additionally, I received the ITAM Alumni Research Award (honorable mention).

My professional experience includes working as an Economist at Mexico's Central Bank and serving as Director of Domestic Debt Issuance at the Mexican Ministry of Finance. I have also provided external consulting services.
